Counter balanced like in days gone by these window are easy to open and close and with the modern materials and runners today jamming and slipping is a thing of the past. Tilt and Turn Windows
Tilt and turn windows tend to be used where it is not convenient to open the window out on to a walkway or where the opening is limited. The Tilt window operates by a single lever that controls both the tilt and the turn. The turn property (i.e. swing in) function of the window allows easy cleaning of the outside as it can easily be accessed from inside.
The tilt function gives excellent indirect ventilation that is directed upwards. In addition ,due to the complex mechanism of the gearing to make this window function, additional security is present due to exceptional build quality of the hardware and gearing.
